Who we are

We are a brokerage firm of Stanbic Holdings Ghana LTD with access to various local, regional, and international markets through Standard Bank Group.

BRIEF HISTORY

SBG Securities started as part of Stanbic Investment Management Services (SIMS) and was incorporated on April 2007 and obtained its Broker-Dealer and Dealer’s Representative Licences from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to commence brokerage business in July 2010.

Following a SEC Regulatory directive for all Brokerage and Asset management business to be separated in business operations, the Brokerage unit of SIMS was incorporated as SBG Securities Ghana LTD and licenced by SEC as a Licenced Dealing Member and Investment Advisor in July 2012.  

SBG Securities Ghana LTD (SBG) is a member of the Standard Bank Group and a Licensed Dealing Member (LDM) of the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE), as well as a member of the Ghana Fixed Income Market (GFIM). SBG Securities is a wholly owned subsidiary of Stanbic Holdings Ghana LTD and licensed by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) as a Broker-Dealer.

Our service offering includes Securities Trading and Advisory Services.

We have a proven track record in assisting companies with Corporate Actions, including but not limited to Tender Offers and Rights Issues. Most notable are a tender offer and Rights issue for Accra Brewery PLC.
